After the Test: Using Data Analysis to Personalize Student Remediation and Review FILLING

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity filling up

Learning Objectives & Rationale:
Teachers will be able to see how test analysis can work for a unit test, and how it can be manipulated based on the course and learning styles of students. Teachers will also see how the use of technology helps facilitate this process to help students self-reflect and personalize what they need.

Description:
The session will focus on how to establish test analyses as a component of the class (buffer day between units) and how to build a system that works to help students reflect on their performance and topic mastery, as well as personalizing remediation and review of the test material based on performance and self-reflection.

Modalities/Implementation Practices:
Teachers will brainstorm what information they want to easily glean from students’ tests. They will look at how a test analysis can not only provide valuable self analysis for students, but also analysis of individual questions, topic mastery, and student preparedness going into the test, including how long students studied and which methods were used. Teachers can also use this information to establish remediation, review, or extension activities based on topic mastery.
