Reminder you will be building your own credit at the close of this event. Each session will count 1.2 hours towards your credit. You will collect certificates throughout the event to submit in MyLearningPlan at the conclusion of reIGNITE 2019. Digital Sessions will require the Digital Learning Artifact: bit.ly/jcpsdlcartifact.
Note: If you are attending with your PLC members you might consider signing up for the same reIGNITE Calibration session (Learn 1) so that you can have common language in the coming year.
Learning Objectives & Rationale: At the end of this session, participants will be able to: -navigate the Seesaw platform as a student and learn features to facilitate personalized learning -describe ways to use Seesaw to foster collaboration between students and involvement with their families -plan how to incorporate the Seesaw platform in their own learning environment
Description: In this session we will use Seesaw applications to incorporate aspects of SBTL, collaboration, and relationship building. Participants will explore the platform as a student to familiarize themselves and will experience different ways to incorporate choice and effective communication. They will also spend some time discussing how Seesaw can enhance student learning experiences in their classroom. Participants will leave with ideas on how to incorporate their learning to increase student self-efficacy and communication.
Modalities/Implementation Practices: Teachers will access Seesaw as a student and actively perform actions and activities geared toward standards-based teaching and learning. There will be visual supports provided to help those who might prefer to explore on their own. Hands-on experiences will yield artifact examples to guide future instructional planning.
