reIgniteJoCo 2019 CvHS has ended
Reminder you will be building your own credit at the close of this event.  Each session will count 1.2 hours towards your credit.  You will collect certificates throughout the event to submit in MyLearningPlan at the conclusion of reIGNITE 2019. Digital Sessions will require the Digital Learning Artifact: bit.ly/jcpsdlcartifact.

Note: If you are attending with your PLC members you might consider signing up for the same reIGNITE Calibration session (Learn 1) so that you can have common language in the coming year.

Learning Objectives & Rationale: 
Participants will understand the difference in equity and equality. Participants will be able to identify biases and better connect with students. Participants will understand how to create safer learning spaces. 

Description:
By learning about and participating in equity exercises, participants will learn about the different lens through which their students may see the world. By exploring these lens, participants will be able to create better learning environments and thus create better student learning opportunities and engagement. 

Modalities/Implementation Practices:
Participants will be put in collaborative groups and engage in experiential activities. Additionally, there will be a whole group activity as well as whole group discussion. There will also be time for small group discussion and reflection.
