Reminder you will be building your own credit at the close of this event. Each session will count 1.2 hours towards your credit. You will collect certificates throughout the event to submit in MyLearningPlan at the conclusion of reIGNITE 2019. Digital Sessions will require the Digital Learning Artifact: bit.ly/jcpsdlcartifact.
Note: If you are attending with your PLC members you might consider signing up for the same reIGNITE Calibration session (Learn 1) so that you can have common language in the coming year.
Learning Objectives & Rationale: Participants will: - Engage in group work and experience the PEARL framework as learners. - Be equipped to use the framework in their classes to maximize student engagement in group work.
Description: We will share how the PEARL Framework can be used with any math task to enhance student group work. We will model through a task found in the unpacking document.
Modalities/Implementation Practices: We will share the PEARL framework through Google Slides and have teachers work through a task as students to experience the PEARL objectives.
I am a Math 1 teacher and a math coach. I have been teaching middle school math 26 years. I enjoy creating engaging lessons, helping students learn, and supporting other educators in their classrooms.
