Reminder you will be building your own credit at the close of this event.  Each session will count 1.2 hours towards your credit.  You will collect certificates throughout the event to submit in MyLearningPlan at the conclusion of reIGNITE 2019. Digital Sessions will require the Digital Learning Artifact: bit.ly/jcpsdlcartifact.

Note: If you are attending with your PLC members you might consider signing up for the same reIGNITE Calibration session (Learn 1) so that you can have common language in the coming year.

Learning Objectives & Rationale: 
Teachers will be able to construct a pre-assessment using a proficiency scale.  In addition, teachers will be able to explain the process of designing a unit based on learning targets in a proficiency scale. 

Are proficiency scales driving your instruction or DRIVING YOU CRAZY?  If you feel overwhelmed by proficiency scales, this session may be for you. In this session we will look at an example of a pre-assessment created using a proficiency scale and how that data is used to drive instruction.  We will look at ways to manage students working at various levels within the proficiency scale as well as how to use individual check-ins to determine student progress.

Modalities/Implementation Practices:
During this session information will be delivered through an interactive visual presentation, hands on activities, and  colleague collaboration.
