reIgniteJoCo 2019 CvHS has ended
Reminder you will be building your own credit at the close of this event.  Each session will count 1.2 hours towards your credit.  You will collect certificates throughout the event to submit in MyLearningPlan at the conclusion of reIGNITE 2019. Digital Sessions will require the Digital Learning Artifact: bit.ly/jcpsdlcartifact.

Note: If you are attending with your PLC members you might consider signing up for the same reIGNITE Calibration session (Learn 1) so that you can have common language in the coming year.

To understand generational differences in social media use; to understand the adolescent perception of risk; to understand social media trends; to understand the psycho-social impacts of excessive technology use; to understand internet security basics; to be able to write a social media contract whether for the classroom, for the an entire school, a sports or a family

Description: 
Understanding the role of social media and how it is affecting our youth's brain is critical to understand them in and outside of the classroom. The content of the presentation is based on much research from the Pew Research Center explaining how social media is affecting our youth, how they perceive risks and different tools to better work with and understand our youth. 

Modalities/Implementation Practices: 
Small group work, videos, and a lot of open discussion
