Reminder you will be building your own credit at the close of this event. Each session will count 1.2 hours towards your credit. You will collect certificates throughout the event to submit in MyLearningPlan at the conclusion of reIGNITE 2019. Digital Sessions will require the Digital Learning Artifact: bit.ly/jcpsdlcartifact.
Note: If you are attending with your PLC members you might consider signing up for the same reIGNITE Calibration session (Learn 1) so that you can have common language in the coming year.
Learning Objectives & Rationale: Participants will understand how a unit is set up and begin to plan for unit 1 using the tools in My Perspectives as well as proficiency scales.
Description: Launch your year right! In this session participants will spend time exploring the set up of the first module of My Perspectives for their grade level, by exploring the theme, essential question and texts used in the first module. Participants will also understand how proficiency scales can be used to help gauge student progress throughout the unit. It is recommended that participants have attended either the half day Curriculum PD over the summer (July 9, 16, or 30) or have attended the reIGNITE session, Secondary ELA Curriculum Introduction.
